Prince Edeoghonghon Azikagbon (PEA) Foundation, in partnership with Footy Footwears, successfully held the Students Enrolment Ceremony on 23rd March 2026, marking the commencement of a specialized footwear production and entrepreneurship training programme.

The enrolment ceremony officially welcomed beneficiaries into the programme and signified the beginning of a transformative journey aimed at equipping participants with practical vocational skills in footwear design, production, and business development.

Through this partnership, trainees will receive hands-on instruction in various aspects of footwear manufacturing, including pattern making, cutting, stitching, finishing, quality control, and customer service. Participants will also be introduced to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, marketing, and business management to prepare them for self-employment and sustainable income generation.

The programme aligns with PEA Foundation’s mission of reducing poverty and promoting economic empowerment through skill acquisition and vocational training. By providing access to industry-relevant skills, the Foundation seeks to empower unemployed youths and vulnerable individuals with opportunities to build successful careers and establish their own small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs).

During the ceremony, participants were encouraged to remain committed, disciplined, and focused throughout the training period in order to maximize the opportunities provided through the programme. The importance of acquiring practical skills as a pathway to economic independence and long-term sustainability was also emphasized.
