Prince Edeoghonghon Azikagbon (PEA) Foundation, in partnership with DA FAVORITE FASHION PLANET, successfully conducted the Students Enrolment Ceremony on 23rd March 2026, marking the commencement of a 10-month Fashion Design and Garment Production Training Programme.

The enrolment ceremony officially welcomed beneficiaries into the programme and signified the beginning of an exciting journey of creativity, skill development, and entrepreneurship. The initiative was established to provide participants with practical fashion design skills that will enable them to build sustainable careers and become economically independent.

Throughout the 10-month training period, participants will receive intensive hands-on instruction in various aspects of the fashion industry, including garment construction, pattern drafting, sewing techniques, fabric selection, fashion illustration, measurements and fittings, finishing techniques, and fashion business management.

In addition to technical skills, trainees will also be equipped with entrepreneurial knowledge designed to help them establish and manage successful fashion businesses. The programme aims to prepare participants for self-employment, employment opportunities, and the creation of small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) within the fashion industry.

Speaking during the enrolment ceremony, participants were encouraged to remain dedicated, disciplined, and committed throughout the training period in order to maximize the opportunities provided by the programme. The importance of skill acquisition as a pathway to poverty reduction, self-reliance, and economic empowerment was emphasized.
